Bangla Govt to appoint 459 medical officers for students’ health check-up

The Bangla Government is engaging the services of 459 medical officers for conducting health check-ups of students in various schools at the district and subdivision levels on a regular basis.

The State Health Department will appoint those medical officers on a contractual basis. The number will comprise of 333 from the homeopathy system, 80 from Ayurveda and 46 from Unani.

Students in the villages are often found to be suffering from various ailments but they are not addressed at the initial level. Health check-ups at the school level will help these medical officers to detect such ailments.

Ailments like skin problems, heart conditions, nutritional sufficiency, and other issues would be examined.
