Bangla Govt celebrating Subhas Utsab across the State

The Bangla Government is celebrating Subhas Utsab today to commemorate the 122nd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
It is being celebrated in all the 342 blocks, 118 municipalities, six municipal corporations and the 144 wards of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, along with each of the State’s district headquarters and the Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA).
The festival are being organised by the Youth Services Department. The festivities began on 22nd January and will continue till today.
As part of the festival, mass rallies, exhibitions on the life and works of Subhas Chandra Bose, quiz contests on him, debates, sit-and-draw and essay writing competitions, and other cultural competitions and programmes are being held.
The famous songs of the Indian National Army (INA), like ‘Kadam kadam badaye ja’ and others, are being performed. Processions are being taken out to celebrate the great patriot.
