Asian Development Bank praises KMC’s project development standards
Asian Development Bank (ADB) has praised Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) for being the only civic body in the whole country to have completed on time all major developmental projects that the former has funded, partly or fully. This was stated recently by the mayor of KMC.
The international bank has also appreciated the fact of the KMC’s proper utilisation of funds, which means there has been negligible pilferage.
As a reward for this extremely good work rate, the ADB has decided to fund several more big projects – in the areas of solid waste management and water supply and drainage.
Under the administration of the Trinamool Congress, KMC has been doing commendable work for many years now, and this appreciation by the ADB is another feather in its cap.
