Annual egg production in Bangla rises
The egg production in Bangla is growing rapidly, coming up to 860 crore in financial year 2018-19. The number was 800 crore on a yearly basis earlier.
This good news was intimated to the Assembly by the Animal Resources Development Minister in reply to a question.
He also mentioned that his department’s ready-to-eat meat shop chain, Haringhata Meat is doing very well, earning Rs 17.84 crore. So good are the quality of the products, the minister said, that crowds of buyers can be often seen in front of the stores.
