Renovated HQ of Kolkata Police’s Detective Dept inaugurated
On the first day of 2019, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the renovated headquarters of the Detective Department of Kolkata Police, located at Lalbazar.
A lot of state-of-the-art equipment has been brought for the Detective Department. These would enable the department to solve many more cases, and solve them quickly. A reception room has also been set up on the ground floor.
The main Cyber Police Station of the State Government, also located at Lalbazar, was also renovated, and it too was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on January 1. With the spate of cyber-crimes, this was a much-needed improvement.
