Stricter penalty for vandalising hospitals: Bangla CM
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken strong exception to people, often a patient’s relatives, damaging hospital furniture alleging mistreatment.
Often costly furniture and equipment are damaged. From now on, the Chief Minister said, the people doing such damages would be made to pay for the damages they have caused, and their properties would be confiscated.
She said that laws are there, and from now on the law would be strictly implemented. This would apply to both government and private hospitals.
