Hydel project to be set up in Purulia
The State Cabinet on September 12 approved the decision to set up a pump storage hydel power project in Purulia.
The Rs 6,921-crore project would help in generating more power in the State. The power project in Purulia would utilise the water of the Turga river in the Ayodhya hills for peak power generation.
The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) had last year given the clearance to the project.
