Central team praises Mission Nirmal Bangla
A team from the Union Rural Development Ministry, which came to visit Bangla on August 9, has heaped praise on the State’s very own Mission Nirmal Bangla.
The team visited quite a few gram panchayats in the district of North 24 Parganas and appreciated the piped drinking water and toilet construction work in the district.
The Central team conducted a thorough examination to check whether the common people were getting all the benefits of the various programmes. Needless to say, they were more than satisfied, and said they would give a positive feedback to the Central Government.
According to a senior official of the State Panchayats Department, 95 per cent of the work under Mission Nirmal Bangla is complete.
