Kalyan Banerjee speaks on the shortage of anti-rabies vaccine

Madam, through you, I want to bring to the kind notice of the Central Government about the shortage of anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) in Bangla, which is a matter of serious concern. There are two reasons for that. One, the supplier, Indian Immunological Limited, which is a central PSU under the Ministry of Fertilizers, has failed to supply even a single unit of ARV over the last three months.
The inordinate delay in clearing manufacturing consignment of ARV in the Central Drug Laboratory under the Ministry of Health, Government of India, crucially in Himachal Pradesh. Madam, our honourable CM vide a letter dated August 3, 2018 already informed about this shortage to the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. Through you Madam, I request the honourable minister to interfere in the matter and to sort out the problem immediately.
