Bengal CM writes to Centre over NEET mess

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has written to Union HRD minister over the irregularities in NEET (UG) examination that was held on Sunday. Many exam centres reportedly suffered from shortage of question papers. Moreover, many candidates did not get Bengali question papers.
The CM even urged the HRD minister to hold re-examinations, so that the examinees do not suffer as they were forced read the questions in English or Hindi.
The CM wrote that in 2017 there was a similar situation. “We were assured that such irregularities would not be repeated. It appears that the authorities have not been careful enough to ensure that the examination is meticulously held and the careers of the candidates are not jeopardized.” She urged the HRD minister to take steps against persons responsible for such irregularities.
