Consumer protection in Bengal’s college syllabus
The Bengal Government is giving serious consideration to the introduction of an understanding of consumer protection in the undergraduate college syllabus.
This was recently announced by the Consumer Affairs Minister during a programme to raise awareness on the issue at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata.
The decision is being considered, according to the Minister, keeping in view the huge number of people coming forward with queries at the consumer protection fairs organised by his Department across the State.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made consumer protection one of the major issues of governance that needs to be highlighted, and in line with that, the Department has done exemplary work during the seven years of the Trinamool Congress Government.
According an official, the consumer affairs courts are also doing a lot of good work, something that is being increasingly appreciated by the people.
কলেজের পাঠ্যক্রমেও চালু হবে ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা
স্কুলের পাঠক্রমই শুধু নয়, ক্রেতাদের সচেতনতার জন্য কলেজের পাঠক্রমেও ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার কথা ভাবছে রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্যের ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন। ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা সচেতনতা আগের থেকে বেড়েছে।
নেতাজি ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা মেলার উদ্বোধন হয় ১৩ই মার্চ। এই অনুষ্ঠানে ছিলেন অনেক বিশিষ্ট অতিথিবৃন্দ। বিভিন্ন স্টল ছিল মেলায়। রিজার্ভ ব্যাঙ্ক অফ ইন্ডিয়া, সেবি স্টল দিয়েছিল, লিগাল মেটারোলজির স্টল ছিল। ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা দপ্তরের কাজকর্ম নিয়ে অনেকেই জানতে এসেছিলেন মেলায়। তাঁদের বিভিন্ন প্রচারপত্র দেওয়া হয়েছিল। কী করবেন, কী করবেন না। সমস্যায় পড়লে কোথায় অভিযোগ জানাতে হবে, এ বিষয়ে জানা যাচ্ছিল মেলায়।
ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা দপ্তরের কাজকর্ম নিয়ে জনগণের মধ্যে আগ্রহ বেড়েছে। এবং জনগণ হাতেনাতে ফলও পাচ্ছেন। বিধানসভায় ক্রেতাসুরক্ষা দপ্তর নিয়ে বিধায়কেরা নানান প্রশ্ন করেছেন এবং সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছেন।
