KMC to introduce night parking service for cars
To solve the problem of parking, especially for those families with more than one cars, in Kolkata, the city civic body, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has decided to introduce night parking service. The service would be available at a price of Rs 450 per night.
Those interested in availing the service would have to apply to KMC, giving details like the car owner’s name and address, the road where the person wants to keep the car and a few others.
On being allotted space, KMC would provide the owner with a sticker saying ‘Night Parking’ which would have to be stuck on the car.

শহরে গাড়ি পার্কিং-এর সমস্যার সমাধানে এবার নামল কলকাতা পুরসভা।
যেসকল পরিবারের একাধিক গাড়ি আছে, কলকাতা পুরসভা তাঁদের জন্য আনল নাইট পার্কিং-পরিষেবা। এই পরিষেবা পাওয়া যাবে প্রতি রাতে গাড়ি পিছু ৪৫০ টাকার বিনিময়ে।
এই পরিষেবা পেতে আগ্রহীদের পুরসভার কাছে আবেদন করতে হবে তাঁদের গাড়ির, গাড়ির মালিকের বিবরণ দিয়ে। এছাড়াও উল্লেখ করতে হবে কোন রাস্তায় তাঁরা পার্কিং করতে চান, ইত্যাদি।
পুরসভার তরফ থেকে নির্দিষ্ট গাড়ির জন্য নির্দিষ্ট জায়গা চিহ্নিত হয়ে গেলে, গাড়ির মালিকদের একটি করে পুরসভার তরফ থেকে স্টিকার দেওয়া হবে যাতে লেখা থাকবে ‘নাইট পার্কিং’, যা গাড়ির ওপর লাগাতে হবে।
