10 Things Mamata Banerjee said at ‘Desh Bachao’ Rally in Patna
Opposition parties united to protest against the ‘super emergency’ in the country today. Massive crowds gathered at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna, protesting the atrocities of the BJP-led Government at Centre.
Trinamool Chairperson and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed the rally and gave a clarion call to save India from the current misrule of the central government.
Highlights of Mamata Banerjee’s speech:
1. We express our sympathies for the people of Bihar suffering from floods. Even Bengal is experiencing floods. We are all suffering.
2. In the past I had come to Bihar twice for the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar Government. But it was not for Nitish Kumar but for the love of Bihar
3. We are not afraid. We are ready to fight. We cannot be intimidated. Fight us if you can. We will give our lives but never compromise with principles. People will vote the current Govt out over ‘notebandi’
4. There is a ‘Government of the agencies, for the agencies and by the agencies’ at Centre.
5. Send us to jail if you can. Let us see how many leaders you can send to jail. You will not have enough space to accommodate us all.
6. Three years have passed. Where is ‘achhe din’? Unemployment has risen, women are not safe, and farmers are dying. Minorities, Dalits and weaker sections are under threat.
7. In the upcoming elections, Bihar’s populace will leave Nitish-BJP. Bihar is being intimidated. Tamil Nadu is being intimidated. Bengal is being intimidated. India is under threat.
8. RSS and BJP want to trigger riots for political benefits. They could not handle the situation at Panchkula. Army is immediately deployed for BJP-ruled States. But non-BJP States do not get any help.
9. I do not need any certificate of Hinduism from them (BJP-RSS). Tyag ka naam hai Hindu, Iman ka naam hai Musalman. Pyar ka naam hai Isai. Sikh ka naam hai balidan. Ye hai hamara Hindustan.
10. We are ready to sacrifice ourselves but we will not allow the disintegration of India. This rally is just the beginning. People will pack the BJP off.

আমরা জীবন দিয়ে লড়ব কিন্তু নীতির সাথে আপোস করব নাঃ পাটনার জনসভায় মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়
দেশে ‘সুপার জরুরী অবস্থার’ বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ করার জন্য একজোট বিরোধী দলগুলো। পাটনার ঐতিহাসিক গান্ধী ময়দানে বিপুল জনসমাবেশ হয়। কেন্দ্রের বিজেপি নেতৃত্বাধীন সরকারের অপশাসনের প্রতিবাদে এই সভার আয়োজন করা হয়।
তৃণমূলের সভানেত্রী ও বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই সমাবেশে ভাষণ দেন এবং বর্তমান অরাজকতা থেকে দেশকে বাঁচানোর আবেদন জানান।
মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ
বন্যায় পীড়িত বিহারবাসীদের আমার সমবেদনা জানাই। বাংলাতেও বন্যা হয়েছে, আমরাও ভুক্তভোগী।
অতীতেও আমি বিহারে এসেছি শপথ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানে। কিন্তু আমি নীতিশ কুমারের জন্য নয়, বিহারবাসীদের টানে এসেছিলাম।
আমরা ভয় পাই না। আমরা লড়াইয়ের জন্য প্রস্তুত। পারলে আমাদের সঙ্গে লড়াই করুন। আমরা জীবন দিয়ে লড়ব কিন্তু নীতির সাথে আপোস করব না। নোটবন্দির জন্য এই সরকারকে মানুষ বিদেয় করবে।

আপনারা পারলে আমাদের জেলে পাঠান। দেখি আপনারা কতজন নেতাকে জেলে পাঠাতে পারেন।
তিন বছর পার হয়ে গেছে। আচ্ছে দিন কোথায়? যুবকরা বেকার, মহিলারা সুরক্ষিত নয়, কৃষকরা মারা যাচ্ছে। আজ দেশের দলিতরা আক্রান্ত, সংখ্যালঘুরা আক্রান্ত, পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষরা আক্রান্ত।
আসন্ন নির্বাচনে বিহারের মানুষ নীতিশকুমার ও বিজেপিকে বর্জন করবে। আজ বিহারকে ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে, তামিলনাড়ুকে ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে, বাংলাকে ভয় দেখানো হচ্ছে; সারা দেশ সন্ত্রশ্ত।
আরএসএস এবং বিজেপি রাজনৈতিক স্বার্থে দাঙ্গা করতে চায়। ওরা পাঁচকুলার পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারল না। বিজেপি শাসিত রাজ্যে তাড়াতাড়ি সেনা নামানো হয়। কিন্তু অ-বিজেপি রাজ্য কোন সাহায্য পায় না।
ওদের (বিজেপি-আর এস এস) থেকে আমার হিন্দুত্বর সার্টিফিকেট চাই না। ত্যাগ কা নাম হ্যায় হিন্দু, ইমান কা নাম হ্যায় মুসলমান, শিখ কা নাম হ্যায় বলিদান, ইয়ে হ্যায় হামারা হিন্দুস্তান।
আমরা জীবন দিতে প্রস্তুত কিন্তু আমরা ভারতকে টুকরো হতে দেব না। এই জনসমাবেশ তো সবে শুরু। মানুষ বিজেপিকে পরাজিত করবে।
