Power supply to be bifurcated to facilitate agriculture
Stressing on the urgency to bifurcate the needs as those for domestic and agricultural purposes, the state government on Friday has decided to bifurcate the power supply system for the same. The state government will give power to the agriculture sector across the state through a dedicated line to ensure uninterrupted supply at a steady voltage.
The state power department has set up the necessary infrastructure for a dedicated supply for agriculture. Additional transformers have been set up and a new power distribution system has also been brought in place. Moreover, a farmer has to pay one-fourth of the cost of a unit of power if it is used in “non-peak” hours which is after 9 pm.
More than 20 lakh farmers are expected to be benefited with the step taken up by the Mamata Banerjee government.
কৃষির জন্য আলাদা বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবস্থা চালু করবে রাজ্য
কৃষি কাজ ও গৃহস্থের বিদ্যুৎ চাহিদা ও ব্যবহার আলাদা। এই দুটিকে আলাদা করার জন্য উদ্যোগী হল রাজ্য সরকার। কৃষি কাজের জন্য বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করবে একটি ‘ডেডিকেটেড’ লাইন যাতে নিরবচ্ছিন্ন বিদ্যুৎ পাওয়া যায় একই ভোল্টেজে।
এই ‘ডেডিকেটেড’ লাইনের জন্য সমস্ত পরিকাঠামো তৈরী করছে রাজ্য। বসানো হয়েছে নতুন ট্রান্সফরমার ও নতুন বিদ্যুৎ বন্টন ব্যবস্থা। রাজ্য সরকার ঠিক করেছে যে কৃষকদের ‘নন-পিক’ সময়ে (রাট ৯টার পর) বিদ্যুতের খরচের মাত্র এক-চতুর্থাংশ দিতে হবে।
এই পদক্ষেপের ফলে ০ লোককে কৃষক উপকৃত হবেন।
