Rs 1.28 lakh Cr has been lost forever due to ‘note-ban’, says CMIE: Mamata Banerjee
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in a series of tweets, expressed her extreme concern about the effect that demonetisation is having on the economy of India and on the population all over the country.
She expressed her anguish about a research report by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) that said that the cost of withdrawing high-denomination currency notes to wipe out black money from the country will be about Rs 1.28 lakh crore during the 50-day window till December 30.
She tweeted: “Shocking that Rs 1.28 lakh Cr have been lost forever due to ‘note-ban’ only in ‘transactions’ in the country, says CMIE, top research body”.
She followed this up with another tweet that said the renowned international credit ratings agency Moody’s has said that demonetisation will severely affect the economy: “World- famous Moody’s says ‘note ban will badly disrupt economic activity’ “.
The people’s Chief Minister that she is, through another tweet this morning, Mamata Banerjee put forth her distress on the immense suffering being undergone by the common people: “Common people are suffering miserably while Modi Ji is relaxing and spreading lies”.

নোট বাতিল ইস্যুতে আবারও সংশয় প্রকাশ করলেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।
শীর্ষ সংস্থা সেন্টার ফর মনিটরিং ইন্ডিয়ান ইকনমি (সিএমআইই) রিপোর্ট দিয়েছে, নোট বাতিলের ফলে অর্থনীতির অন্তত ১.২৮ লক্ষ কোটি টাকা নষ্ট হবে।
এই প্রসঙ্গে তিনি টুইট করে বলেন, “দেশের শীর্ষ সংস্থা সি এম আই ই জানিয়েছে, নোট বাতিলের ফলে শুধুমাত্র লেনদেনের ক্ষেত্রে দেশের ১.২৮লক্ষ কোটি টাকা নষ্ট হয়েছে”।
বিশ্ব বিখ্যাত সংস্থা মুডি’স জানিয়েছে নোট বাতিলের জের দেশের অর্থনৈতিক অবস্থাকে ভীষণভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করবে। এই প্রসঙ্গে টুইট করে তিনি বলেন, “বিশ্বখ্যাত সংস্থা মুডি’স জানিয়েছে, নোট বাতিলের ফলে দেশের অর্থনৈতিক ব্যবস্থা বিপর্যস্ত হবে”।
তাঁর তৃতীয় টুইট “একদিকে সাধারণ মানুষের অবস্থা শোচনীয় আর অন্যদিকে মোদি জি নিশ্চিন্তে আছেন আর মিথ্যে কথা বলে বেরাচ্ছেন”।
