Bhujel community to confer honourary title on Bengal Chief Minister
The Bhujel community of the Hills in north Bengal will bestow the honorary title, “Famohimal Wanto Anya” upon Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her tremendous contribution to the people of the Hills.
In the Bhujels’ language, Fugal Nur, the title may be translated as a “Didi is as pure and protective as Mount Kanchenjunga”.
The Bengal Chief Minister, during her last visit to the Hills in September, had announced the formation of a separate development board for the Bhujel community.
Earlier, the Lepchas in north Bengal had bestowed the title of “Kingtsoom Dartim” or “Bhagya Vidhata” (bestower of good fortune) on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for announcing a board for the development of the community in 2013.
In 2015, the Tamang community had conferred on her the title of “Nalsang Dolma” (goddess of light) and the Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad, the title of “Singi Dai”.
মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে রক্ষাকর্ত্রীর শিরোপা দিচ্ছে ভুজেল জনগোষ্ঠী
লেপচা ও তামাং অধিবাসীদের পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে সম্মাননা প্রদান করবে ভুজেল জনগোষ্ঠী। ‘ফামাহিমা ওয়ানতো অ্যানিয়া’ উপাধি দিয়ে তারা সম্মান জানাবেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে। ভুজেল দের ‘ফুগাল নুর’ ভাষায় এই শব্দবন্ধের আক্ষরিক অর্থ হল কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার মত রক্ষাকর্ত্রী ও পবিত্র।
গত ১১ নভেম্বর এই জনগোষ্ঠীর জন্য উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ গঠনের কথা ঘোষণা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।
এছাড়া লেপচা, তামাং সহ আরও কয়েকটি আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ আগেই গঠন করেছে রাজ্য।
আগামী ডিসেম্বর মাসে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী পাহাড়ে আসবেন তিব্বতিদের অনুষ্ঠানে যোগদান করতে, তখনই তাকে এই উপাধি দেওয়া হবে।
এর আগে লেপচা জনগোষ্ঠী তাঁকে ‘কিমসুম ডারমিট’ উপাধি দিয়েছে যার অর্থ ‘সৌভাগ্যের দেবী’। তামাং জনগোষ্ঠী তাঁকে ‘নালসাঙ ডোলমা’ উপাধি দিয়েছে যার অর্থ ‘অশুভ শক্তির বিনাশকারী’। আদিবাসী জনগোষ্ঠী তাঁকে ‘সিঙ্গি দাই’ উপাধি দিয়েছে যার অর্থ ‘বীরাঙ্গনা’।
