Mamata Banerjee dedicates victory to Maa Mati Manush of Bengal

Trinamool Congress swept the West Bengal Assembly Polls 2016, blessed by the Maa Mati Manush of Bengal. Crossing the 200 mark barrier and establishing itself as the single largest majority, Mamata Banerjee proved yet again that slander campaigns by the Opposition and a section of the media only make Trinamool become stronger.

In a press conference at the Kalighat office, Mamata Banerjee thanked the Maa Mati Manush of Bengal for showering their blessings on Trinamool Congress.

Here are the excerpts of her speech at the press conference: 

• We want to thank the people of Bengal. They are the biggest pillar of democracy.

• We have fought this election alone. The Opposition was united against us. People have given us a huge victory.

• Trinamool won 184 seats in 2011 in alliance. This time we fought alone. Opposition was united against us.

• There was an attempt to create an atmosphere of fear but people voted peacefully, fearlessly.

• There were attempts to mislead people. Those incidents were shameful for politics.

• A smear campaign was launched against us for the last two years. Several canards were spread.

• We are thankful to the people for rejecting the smear campaign and conspiracies.

• As an elected government we faced several hurdles while carrying out governance.

• I appeal to all to maintain peace.

• Several students performed well in board examinations this year. I congratulate them.

• Our party will organise cultural functions from tomorrow till 30 May to thank the Maa, Mati, Manush.

• In 2011, we took oath on 20 May. It is a day of #Poriborton for us.

• Tomorrow we have called a meeting of all the newly-elected MLAs at 12:30 PM

• We will take oath on 27 May. A session of the Assembly will be called before 29 May

• Our responsibility has increased now. Our priority is the socio-economic development of downtrodden people

• It is our priority to work for youth and students. We will work for artistes also

• We will make Bengal the best among all

• We have ideological difference with BJP. We cannot support them

• I am not a VIP. I am LIP (Less Important Person). I want to continue to live as a commoner

• Majority, minority – all voted together… Do not try to divide them

• This victory is a magic of Maa, Mati, Manush. People are intelligent. They have given a fitting reply

• If ideology is lost, everything is lost. The CPI(M)-Congress have lost everything

• People are my strength. They give me moral support

• This is a victory of people. This is a victory of development

• It is our priority to work for people

 

বাংলার মা-মাটি-মানুষকে জয়  উৎসর্গ করলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

মা-মাটি-মানুষের আশীর্বাদে দুই-তৃতীয়াংশ ভোট পেয়ে ২০১৬র বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে জয়ী হল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস। এই প্রথমবার এককভাবে লড়াই করে ২০০ –র বেশি ভোট পেয়ে নির্বাচনে জয়ী তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস। বিরোধীদের এবং একশ্রেণীর সংবাদ মাধ্যমের কুৎসা ও অপপ্রচার তৃণমূলকে আর শক্তিশালী করেছে তা আবারও প্রমাণ করে দিলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

কালীঘাটে সাংবাদিক বৈঠক করে তিনি সমগ্র বাংলার মা-মাটি-মানুষকে ধন্যবাদ জানান।

এখানে তার বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ

• আমি বাংলার মানুষকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই কারণ মানুষই গণতন্ত্রের সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি

• আমরা সমস্ত বিরোধী শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে এককভাবে নির্বাচনে লড়াই করেছি

• ২০১১ এ জোটে লড়ে ১৮৪টি আসন পেয়েছিলাম। এবার আমরা এককভাবে লড়াই করেছি। বিরোধীরা আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে একজোট হয়েছে

• গত ২ বছর ধরে আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে কুতসা ও অপপ্রচার চলেছে

• আমি মানুষকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই তারা এই কুতসা ও অপপ্রচারের জবাব দিয়েছে

• আমি সবাইকে শান্তি বজায় রাখার জন্য আবেদন জানাচ্ছি

• ২০১১ সালে ২০ মে আমি শপথ গ্রহন করেছিলাম, এটা আমাদের কাছে পরিবর্তনের দিন

• আগামীকাল ১২.৩০-এ আমি নবনির্বাচিত বিধায়কদের নিয়ে একটি বৈঠক করব

• ২৭শে মে আমরা শপথ নেব। ২৯শে মের আগে বিধানসভার অধিবেশন ডাকা হবে

• আমাদের দায়িত্ব আর বেড়ে গেল। পিছিয়ে পরা মানুষের সামাজিক উন্নয়নই আমাদের অগ্রাধিকার

• যুবসমাজ ও ছাত্রদের জন্য কাজ করাই আমাদের প্রধান উদ্দেশ্য, আমরা শিল্পীদের জন্যও কাজ করব

• আমরা বাংলাকে বিশ্বসেরা বানাব

• বিজেপির সঙ্গে আমাদের মতাদর্শে পার্থক্য আছে, আমরা অদের সমর্থন করি না

• আমি ভিআইপি নই, আমি এলআইপি, আমি সাধারণ মানুষ হয়েই থাকতে চাই

• সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ, সংখ্যালঘু সবাই সমানভাবে ভোট দিয়েছেন, কোন বিভেদ করবেন না

• যদি আদর্শ হারিয়ে যায় তাহলে সব কিছু হারিয়ে যায় মানুষের, সিপিএম-কংগ্রেস এখন সর্বহারা

• এই জয় উন্নয়নের জয়, এই জয় মানুষের জয়
