Bengal believes in ‘unity in diversity’ – WB CM

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that the state believes in unity in diversity and was against promoting violence. Speaking at the inauguration of the Jagatdhatri Puja at Posta Bazaar in north Kolkata, she said, “Shedding blood is easy, but keeping peace is difficult.”
On this occasion North Kolkata MP and senior AITC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay accompanied the Chief Minister. The dates for Jagaddhatri Puja 2015 are from November 18 to November 21.
The West Bengal Chief Minister said that she wanted to work for the people of Bengal and was fulfilling their dreams one by one. She said people of different communities and religion live here and “we should work together for peace.” She said in her state no communal violence would be tolerated.
