Chief Minister to organize Business Summit on June 18 to facilitate investment in the State
Kolkata, June8: It’s been 19 days that the new government has taken charge and big ticket investments have come calling already. First it was private sector engineering giant L&T and then it was PSU mammoth GAIL. To push the investment frontier further, Ms. Mamata Banerjee is organizing an investor summit on June 18 in Kolkata. The who`s who of corporate India will be invited to this summit. It is expected to be a huge gathering. The state government will start sending the invitation letters from Wednesday. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will personally interact with all of them.
All the leading national and regional industry bodies will be invited along with leading industry groups. The list includes, FICCI, CII, Assocham, Amcham, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Bengal Chamber, Bengal National Chamber, Bharat Chamber, Merchant’s Chamber etc.
All the chiefs of Maharatna and Navratna PSUs like GAIL, ONGC, SAIL, Coal
It may be noted that after achieving resounding victory in the Lok Sabha polls, Mamata Banerjee also organized an investor summit as Union Railway Minister.
