A Huge Betrayal: What UPA said about FDI in Retail

 

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee begins her speech at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi. She says her prime concern is Maa, Mati Manush and this is why she did not accept the anti-people-policies taken by the UPA government. She said that I cannot allow development at the cost of killing the common man.  

Trinamool Congress Chairperson  said that her prime concern was the small businessmen who will be totally wiped off if the FDI comes into existence and it cannot be accepted. Ms. Banerjee asked how will the farmers survive as the government increased the price of fertilizers thrice within a short span. She said that her concern was the plight of the farmers. 

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Ms. Mamata Banerjee said just by calling bands does not serve the purpose since it hinders the development process in the country.

Trinamool Congress Chairperson said that the UPA did not care to consult the alliances before increasing prices. She said it was an insult for the alliances since they are always left out in policy making issues. `This is an insult and we cannot accept this`, said Ms. Banerjee.

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Ms. Banerjee asked that how will the poor children have their nourishment since the schools have already expressed their inability to cook foods due to the streaming of LPG cylinders in a year. An aggrieved Trinamool Congress Chairperson said many of these children go to school for the food but in a such a situation their food will be stopped. 

She said, `I hear that some of the leaders in UPA are saying that six-cylinders are sufficient in a year. I want to ask them only one question that do they at all eat food or even take tea or coffee`.

Ms. Mamata Banerjee announced that they will hold a rally across the country and apprise people of the disadvantage of the FDI. `We will organize rally on November 2, November 17 in Lucknow November 22 and 23 in Delhi`, said the the Trinamool Congress Chairperson . She said that those who are interested can spread the message among the people in Delhi.

She warned the UPA that people will never support them if they indulge themselves in taking anti-people-policies since the common man is already under pressure and such harassment will put more burden on them.
