Kalyan Banerjee comments on Bengal having to pay Rajasthan Government for the expenses incurred on the migrant labourers being sent back, despite promised otherwise

Sir, Congress leaders said their party’s government in the States would pay the expenses incurred while sending migrant workers back from those States to their home States. Yet the Rs 36 lakh incurred on sending workers by train from Rajasthan back to their home State of Bengal, we had to pay. Rajasthan has a Congress Government but Bengal had to pay the Rs 36 lakh. The Congress Government did not pay a single rupee. And yet, there is a Congress leader sitting here in Delhi giving bites on the issue, when he has not done any work on rendering help to migrant workers. He is only interested in giving speeches.
