‘Didi Ke Bolo’ – a new campaign by Trinamool to connect with the people of Bangla

‘Didi Ke Bolo’ – a new campaign by Trinamool to connect with the people of Bangla

A new initiative was launched on Monday by Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee whereby Bangla’s citizens would be able to put across their problems and experiences, complaints and opinions with her. A dedicated website and mobile number were inaugurated by her during an organisational meeting of the party’s leaders at Nazrul Mancha.

Highlights of what she said:
A new reachout campaign by Trinamool Congress is starting today. In a bid to interact more with the people of the state, and hear their concerns, I am announcing a dedicated phone number, 9137091370. Side by side, opinions can also be posted at this website, www.didikebolo.com.

Over the next 100 days, more than 1,000 elected representatives and post-holders of the party will visit villages and towns and interact with the local residents. If needed, they will stay overnight and also hear what the local party workers have to say.

A special cell has been opened at the CMRO where citizens of the state can lodge their complaints.

This reachout initiative will involve both traditional and modern methods of communication. We have created a digital platform whereby the public can contact us directly. It is not that it will be possible to solve all problems, but an effort will be made to tackle most of them. The party’s representatives and workers will simultaneously spread the ideas and ideals of the Trinamool Congress.

While answering media questions at the end, she said the party was a poor one. Not all parties were as rich as the BJP. The BJP and the CPM can afford to have wholetimers. For this, they have a lot of funds. But the Trinamool has to labour and work a lot to spend for an election.
