Manish Gupta gives farewell message for retiring Rajya Sabha members

Sir, every party always has a tinge of sadness. We appreciate that you are allowing us to record the efforts made by the Members who are retiring today – Dr V Maithreyn, Shri D Raja, Shri KR Arjunan, Dr R Lakshmanan and Shri T Rathinavel.
In this house, we are following the footsteps and the thinking that was installed in our minds by the Fathers of the Constitution. So, there were certain things that went through their minds. Importantly, it was to meet the hopes and aspirations of the people. Here in this House, all the members have only one purpose: To bring the economically backward people into the mainstream and to instal India in the rightful place in the league of nations. I noticed that all these five members, whenever they participated in the discussions in this august House, have put all their might, effort, thinking, intelligence, experience to take forward this noble cause.
So, therefore Sir, on this day I wish them all the best in their future endeavours and on behalf of my party and all our Members here, we wish them the best of luck.
